The setting itself is a character. Ebisugaoka’s streets, old houses, shrines, and corridors fade into twisted nightmare versions. The fog recedes to reveal crumbling details and horrors just out of sight. The story is penned by Ryukishi07 (known for Higurashi) and intensifies emotions layered in familial conflict, guilt, and isolation.
